Volunteer On Our Farm
Farm Stays
We accept volunteers for stays of at least three weeks through both WWOOF USA and WorkAway. We are particularly interested in volunteers who have carpentry and/or mechanical experience. We are a collaborative community and flexibility is key to a positive experience. We accept people for who they are, and they reciprocate out of the fullness of their hearts.
Typical Responsibilities:
Weeding, watering and mulching
Planting, transplanting, or harvesting crops as appropriate
Clearing invasive species around the property, including the use of a chain saw
Tending to sheep and chickens, including feeding, watering, cleaning the chicken coop, and harvesting eggs.
Landscape maintenance (weed-whacking, mowing, pruning, chain sawing, etc.) and fence building
Vehicle and equipment maintenance
Farmer for the Day
Each Wednesday we host a Farmer for a Day experience. We’ll give you five hours of farm chores tailored to your interests, skills and abilities, many of the same tasks our long-term volunteers perform. We’ll feed you lunch, much of it from the farm, and send you home with some of the bounty of our land, depending on what is in season.
